 Hair Loss and Home Remedies
There are many other ways to attack hair loss that don't include using strong chemicals or prescription drugs. Granted, some are effective and some are not, but the only way to know for sure (just like using Propecia) is to try them for yourself. I'm going to list a few possible ways to treat hair loss and let you make up your own mind on their effectiveness. Just to remind you all…I am not advocating any type of hair loss treatment, simply because every person is different and what might work for you might not work for someone else! Okay, the first type of home remedy can be categorized as "herbal". Many folks, including myself, have begun using certain herbs to combat all sorts of problems…anything from aging skin to a lack of energy to, you guessed it, hair loss. Here are some of the more popular herbs pertaining to hair loss… Stinging nettle: Also known as Urtica Diocia, this herb has the ability to block the conversion of testosterone into DHT (DHT is often the cause of male hair loss). An optimum dose of 50-100mg per day in capsule form is recommended. Ginkyo biloba: this herb is thought to improve blood circulation to the brain and skin. It is believed that the increased flow of blood to the brain area delivers more nutrients to the hair follicle thus promoting hair regrowth. A recommended dose is 120-160mg of dry extract each day spread over three doses. He Shou Wu: Also known as Polygonum Multiflorum, this herb has traditionally been used to reduce hair loss and can be taken in capsule form or as a tea. Pygeum Africanum: This herb is derived from the bark of the evergreen tree and it works like green tea. It is used to treat male pattern baldness. You should take 60-500mg per day in pill or capsule form. Saw Palmetto: Also known as Seranoa Repens, this is a favorite choice for many men due to its ability to slow hair loss and encourage hair regrowth. Many commercially prepared hair loss treatments use this herb as a base but it can easily be found in its pure form. A dose of 160mg twice each day is recommended, but be sure the ingredients are made from the berry extract not the dried berries themselves. The second type of home remedy for attacking hair loss are external preparations that are applied to the hair and scalp directly. Some of these may sound odd, but you never know until you try, right? Safflower Oil: Also known as Carthamus Tinctorious, safflower oil applied to the scalp acts as a vasolidator that dilates blood vessels. This allows more blood to deliver nutrients to the hair follicle thus creating an environment conducive to hair regrowth. Aloe Vera: You can rub Aloe Vera into your scalp each night. It's believed that the herb activates the production of nitric oxide and contains an enzyme called superoxide dismutane. These two substances combined may stimulate hair regrowth in those suffering from male pattern baldness. Red Pepper: Also know as Capiscum, you can apply Red Pepper to the scalp as a poultice. It irritates the scalp and stimulates blood flow to the base of the hair, which may encourage renewed hair growth. Onion: Yes, onions. Some believe that rubbing the scalp with an onion before shampooing may actually stimulate hair growth…your mileage may vary! There are many more home remedies that may aid in hair growth or regrowth. I will talk about these in future articles. Thanks for reading and take care!  Nail Fungus, Including Toenail Fungus, Can Be Cured
The cause of the infection is often wets socks and shoes which the wearer does not remove at once. There are other causes of nail fungus, too. Diabetes, for example, can be an underlying cause of people's nails contracting this type of fungal infection. Fortunately, toenail fungus is a condition which can be treated in your own home, so there is no need to consult a doctor to obtain a prescription. Topical creams can be purchased over the counter, which will stop your nails from being thickened and yellow, but instead help them to regain good health and to look good. The time it takes to return your nails to a normal appearance varies, depending on how bad your case of nail fungus or toenail fungus is. It is important that you take action as soon as you notice signs that your nails have become affected by nail fungus, because otherwise your nail bed can become infected and you could end up losing your nail altogether. How Do You Know You Have Nail Fungus? If you are wondering how to recognize a case of toenail fungus, then it is usually noticeable because your nails become thickened and yellow in color. Normal nail appearance is clearer and thinner over the nail bed. Nails which have become infected by nail fungus are unsightly in appearance and are difficult to trim. The nail fungus can sometimes become so bad that the nails turn brown or occasionally even black. As soon as you suspect that your nails might be infected with nail fungus you should get treatment, so that further problems do not develop. If you are a diabetes sufferer, then you need to take especially good care of your nails, because nail fungus commonly affects people who have diabetes. People who develop toenail fungus without having an underlying condition which caused it have usually contracted it from wearing wet socks and shoes. You can improve your toenail fungus by ensuring that you wear cotton socks and that your shoes are dry. Wearing shoes that are water repellant will mean that your feet don't get wet if you have to work in wet conditions. Usually people with toenail fungus are those who wear work boots and work in bad weather such as rain or snow. The best way to get rid of nail fungus is to use a cream. It often takes a while for the cream to work, but the fungal infection will eventually disappear and your nails will once again look good and be easy to keep trimmed. Toenail fungus is not a condition that just has to be endured, because products can be ordered online which can cure nail fungus infections. You can get good Nail Fungus Treatment at home by visiting our online store. For Toenail Fungus Treatment, go to treatment4nailfungus.com

 Acne Skin Care Methods
Acne is an inflammatory skin disease that affects millions of individuals. The most universal type of acne is known as "common acne". Acne is caused when too many oils are secreted from the glands and those oils mix with dead skin cells, blocking the hair follicles. More oil secretions increase underneath the already blocked follicles (or pores), and skin bacteria begin to grow rapidly. This leads to red and irritated skin that most often appears as bumps on the skin's surface. Any skin surface of the body is susceptible to acne, but it most commonly (and heavily) appears on the face, chest, back, and upper arm region. Acne commonly begins to occur during puberty due to an irregular response by the body to regular levels of testosterone, a male hormone. Often, acne begins to subside or disappear altogether by the mid 20's. However, some individuals do suffer with it throughout adulthood. And some adults do not even see the onset of acne until well into the adult years. This is known as adult onset acne. Acne can leave scarring on the skin, as well as have a scarring effect on a person's self-esteem, and even lead to depression. Because society can be so unforgiving about appearances, there are various medically prescribed treatments available, as well as acne skin care regimens that can be utilized in order to minimize the symptoms of acne. Different things cause acne for different sufferers. A few of the recognized causes of acne include heredity, hormonal activity (puberty, menstruation, pregnancy), stress, certain medications, and skin irritation. All of these things have the potential to cause acne, as well as exacerbate it. There are a few myths regarding acne. For instance we've all heard of a mom telling her child not to eat too many greasy foods like French fries, or eat too many sweets, because it will give him or her pimples. That is simply an old wives' tale. Diet does not cause acne, and does not affect it. Also, poor hygiene has no bearing on the occurrence of acne. Acne is not caused by dirt, and having poor hygiene habits will not aggravate the condition. There are many treatments for acne available, both through prescription, and over the counter. There are antibiotics in the form of pills, as well as topical creams that are designed to treat the condition. Exfoliation can be used as a treatment to remove and prevent the build up of dead skin cells. And light therapy is being used more and more to treat acne. It is important to consult a dermatologist in order to determine the best course of treatment and learn the best regimen of acne skin care to carry out. Dealing with the occurrence of acne requires knowing how to properly care for the skin. Acne skin care can help keep the problem from getting worse, and even alleviate it. It is important to gently wash the skin at least twice a day with a gentle skin cleanser. Do not scrub with a rough pad or use a rough soap. This will make the acne problem worse. And always completely rinse the skin after cleansing. As part of an acne skin care routine, it is important to remember not to touch the afflicted skin areas. Do not try to squeeze acne. An infection could occur, compounding the problem, and scarring could result. Also, avoid the sun when possible. Wear protective clothing to avoid tanning or burning. The skin will age faster, and any fading effect of the acne is temporary and will become visible again when the burn or tan fades. When using cosmetics, take care to use oil-free products, and products that are non-comedogenic (won't clog the pores). And for men who shave their faces, it is important to shave very carefully. Shave with a light hand to avoid cutting or nicking the blemishes. If these steps in acne skin care are taken, the pain and embarrassment of the problem can be alleviated, and over time, eliminated completely.
